Last week, Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany in the Russian Federation Ulrich Brandenburg acquainted with the industrial potential of the Kirov region, where currently the Days of Germany take place. German diplomat visited one of the most modern enterprises in the region - JSC "Kirov Non-Ferrous Metals Processing Plant".

JSC "Kirov Non-Ferrous Metals Processing Plant (processing complex UMMC) up to 2010 increased output of rolled ferrous metals compared with 2009 in 1.5 times.
Traditionally, the structure of rolled the largest share (29,7%) are brass and copper radiator strips, compared to 2009 the volume of their output grew 1.45 times. Also, output growth recorded in all types of flat and round rolled products, in particular, twice growth from last year is in bar of brass alloys, tires, wire, strips and electrical profiles.

January 12, 1956 Minister of Non-ferrous Metallurgy of the USSR, P. F. Lomako approved the act of the state commission on acceptance and commissioning of the first stage of the Kirov Non-Ferrous Metals Processing Plant. This day is the birthday of the plant.
But history of the company began in 1939 when by the Decree of People's Commissars of the USSR it was decided to build in the Kirov city brass-rolling plant. Because of the war, construction of the plant had been suspended, but a month after the victory, 16 June 1945, the decision was got to resume construction of the plant, which derives its modern name - the Kirov Non-ferrous Metals Processing Plant.
