JSC "Kirov non-ferrous metals processing  plant"  - one of the most modern plants in the domestic metalworking. For more than half a century history of its development, the company has accumulated rich experience in the production of flat and round rolled copper and copper alloys. Wide range of products - bars, plates, sheets, strip,  anodes, profiles, rods, wires, tires - are used in the automotive, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, electronics industry, iron and steel, energy and other industries.

Since 2000 JSC "Kirov non-ferrous metals processing  plant"  is the part of the Ural Mining and Metallurgical Company. Currently, in accordance with the requirements of the market the company conducted a large-scale work on reconstruction, modernization, acquisition and installation of new equipment, actively explore new equipment and new technologies. Investment projects aimed at maintaining the quality of products to the world standards and offer the market new types of metal. Kirov Plant GCM is traditionally known as a supplier of quality products that meet the requirements of Russian and international standards. Competitive production support operations in the company quality management system is certified for compliance with the requirements of ISO 9001: 2000 by the German certification body TUV SERT TUV Thuringen eV.

Today JSC "KNFMP" occupies the largest segment of the domestic market rolled ferrous metals from copper and its alloys, confidently asserting itself in the foreign market, implementing export rolled in a Western Europe, Southeast Asia, the United States, former Soviet Union, FSU.

1939 – 1955

Council of People's Commissars adopted a decree about construction in the Kirov city the brass-rolling plant

1975 – 2000

Was commissioned starting complex shop with capacity of 12 thousand tons per year

2002 – 2009

Completely re-engineering workshop of round rolled for seamless drawn tubes, rods and profiles.

2011 – 2013

Was put into operation horizontal continuous annealing line "Otto Junker"

1939 – 1955

1939 Council of People's Commissars adopted a decree about construction in the Kirov city the brass-rolling plant.  The first construction works.

1940 Construction of the plant is transferred to a specialized contractor organization the "North Urals Tyazhstroy"; 

1940, 29 October People's Commissariat of non-ferrous metallurgy of the USSR approved a technical project and a general estimate of the Kirov brass-rolling plant with annual production of non-ferrous metal 42 thousand tons. The project is defined the composition of primary production and a full range of warehousing, auxiliary, energy and offsite appointment, the volume of housing construction and facilities socio-cultural

1941, 27 November Construction of a plant with the beginning of World War II wassuspended; The territory of the plant is transferred to the Moscow rolling mills plant. 

1945, 16 June Council of People's Commissars decides to resume construction of the plant. 

1955, 28 December The State Commission signed the act of acceptance and commissioning of the first stage of the KNFMP.

1975 – 2000

1975 Was commissioned starting complex shop with capacity of 12 thousand tons per year 

1984 Mastered the technology of production of tubes in coils

1996-1999 Was mastered about 40 new tipe pf products and 23 brand new alloys

2000, 7 июля Was put into operation a horizontal hydraulic press 1600 ton 

2002 – 2009

2002 Mastered the production of copper anodes for export, producing seamless drawn tubes, rods and profiles 

2007 Chairman of State Duma Boris Gryzlov, Plenipotentiary Presidential Envoy Alexander Konovalov started the installation of the vertical continuous casting of "SMS Meer" is the first stage of the investment program of UMMC

2009 General Director of UMMC A. Kozitsin and governor of the Kirov region N.Belykh solemnly have introduced into commercial operation cold rolling mill Quarto 160 and cutting line for very thin strips; released the first pilot batch of copper foil

2011 – 2013

2011-2013 Was put into operation horizontal continuous annealing line "Otto Junker", capable of processing very thin strips at high speeds. Completed development of a new metallurgical complex, in which successfully conducted the development of new kinds of copper and brass foil, tape and other roofing.
